Arthur Miller
Show me where the head of Willy Loman lies.
I'll set it on a pole in Washington DC
To let the hungry crows peck at his eyes.

We all know of his pompous demise,
Preening his bluster for the world to see.
Show me where the head of Willy Loman lies.

Waiting to die, like an ancient compromise,
And climbing to the top of the tallest tree
To let the hungry crows peck at his eyes.

Disappointment is so difficult to disguise.
His shabby grave littered with dirt and debris.
Show me where the head of Willy Loman lies.

His vulgar ego would advertise
Where his cavalier head lying on pillow would be
To let the hungry crows peck at his eyes.

And some would rejoice at his eventual demise
But they would be falser, I think you'd agree.
Show me where the head of Willy Loman lies
To let the hungry crows peck at his eyes.

Arthur Miller, American playwright, died on this day in 2005.
